Doctrines!

There Are No Heavenly and Earthly Classes!

There is only ONE hope. How did they make it two?

By Nab B.

Since 1932, the JW organization has taught that there are two classes of Christians. Let me say that teaching a two-class system among Christ's followers is downright false, especially when class distinctions were removed in the New Covenant!

Understanding John 10:16

The organization bases this false doctrine upon a misinterpretation of John 10:16. Have you read the passage in context? Anyone with reasonable reading skills and logic can easily identify the “other sheep,”  “this fold,” and the “one flock”!

Speaking to the Jews, Jesus said,

“And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those too I must bring in, and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock, one shepherd.”

(John 10:16)

Here is what Jesus meant according to context:

In Ephesians 2:11-22, Paul shows how the wall that separated Jews and Gentiles was removed, making the two groups into ‘one flock’ as Jesus said He would do:

“For He (Christ) is our peace, the One who made the TWO groups ONE…to reconcile fully both peoples in one body. Because through him (Jesus), we, both peoples, have free access to the Father by one spirit.

"So you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens of the holy ones and are members of the household of God. In union with him, you too are being built up together into a place for God to inhabit by spirit.”

In Christ, there is only ONE HOPE (not two), and ONE BODY (not two classes). This is the simple and unadulterated truth proclaimed in Ephesians 4:4,

"One body there is, and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling.”

Two Spiritual Conditions, Not Two Classes!

The scriptures do not mention earthly and heavenly classes destined for heavenly or earthly locations. But they do mention spiritual earthly and heavenly states. True believers are called heaven-dwellers because they’re born of the spirit. Soulish believers are called earth-dwellers because they remain fleshly—not born of the Spirit.

Here are some verses to prove it (more can be found):

“For our citizenship is in heaven.” (Phil 3:20)

“As was the earthly man, so also are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven.” (1 Cor 15:48)

“And raised us [all] up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” (Eph 2:6)

Your organization avoids quoting Revelation 19:1. There the ‘Great Crowd’ (God's people) who are born of the Spirit are seen enjoying the spiritual condition called heaven (not a location).

“After this, I heard what seemed to be a loud voice of a great crowd in heaven!”

Even God’s ancient people, heaven was home to them. It was also the spiritual condition of living with God, Christ, and all the saints when the promises were to be fulfilled to them at the resurrection.

“Instead, they were longing for a Better Country, heavenly one.” (Heb 11:16)

The two-class system is promoted by the organization so that one class rules over another in matters of doctrines and behaviour. This prevents most JWs from having direct access to God through Christ by the Holy Spirit!

You were Deceived About the Greek Scriptures!

Insidiously, the two-class system has also led you to believe that the entirety of Greek Scriptures (NT) was not written for you! All its immediate wonderful promises were made irrelevant to you.

I pray you will now begin to read them with new lenses since they are written specifically for all believers, not just a select few!
